Play Dangerous Pinku: a retro side-scrolling platformer
Meet Pinku: bright pink turban, magnificent beard, nerves of steel. Run, jump and fly through ten levels of fire pits, flooded caves, stone mazes and night orchards, grab the golden trophy, and dance your way to the next door.
Dangerous Pinku is a classic side-scrolling platformer and a love letter to the DOS games of the early 90s. Fans will spot the inspiration of Dangerous Dave in its trophies, jetpacks and warp zones, but every level, monster and pixel here is new. It runs free in your browser on phones, tablets, laptops and desktops.
How to play
- Find the trophy in each level, then walk through the door.
- Pick up the gun to shoot the monsters that guard doorways and corridors. They fire back.
- Grab a jetpack to fly over fire and water. Fuel runs out, so watch the gauge.
- Climb trees by pushing up. Falling through a tree is slower.
- Fire, water and weeds are deadly. Jump them.
- Every 10,000 points earns an extra Pinku.

What's inside
10 LEVELS, 5 WARP ZONES
Levels start with a single screen and grow into full scrolling stages, about a hundred tiles wide. Five of them hide a secret warp zone: a bonus room stuffed with crowns, wands and rings. Teaser treasure sits in risky spots for players chasing a high score.

Make your own levels
The Dangerous Pinku level editor lets you paint walls, fire, water and treasure, place monsters and tune how they fly, then test-play straight away. When it's ready, give it a name and a 4-digit PIN and share it: your level gets its own link and shows up in the community list for everyone to play.
Frequently asked questions
Is Dangerous Pinku free to play?
Yes. It runs free in your web browser with nothing to download or install, on phones, tablets, laptops and desktops.
Is this Dangerous Dave?
No. Dangerous Pinku is an original tribute inspired by the 1990 DOS classic Dangerous Dave. It has a new hero, new levels, new art and new music.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. On touch screens you get a thumb pad plus JUMP, FIRE and JET buttons. Turn your phone sideways for the biggest view. On a computer you can play with the keyboard, or switch the on-screen pad on and use a mouse.
Are there secret levels?
Yes. Five of the ten levels hide a warp zone, a bonus room packed with treasure. Look for gaps in the roof, a hole in the floor, a slot in a wall and one very tall tree.
How do I get extra lives?
You start with three Pinkus and earn an extra one for every 10,000 points. Treasure, trophies and defeated monsters all score.
Can I make my own levels?
Yes. Open the level editor, build a level, test it and share it with a name and a 4-digit PIN. Anyone can play shared levels; your PIN lets you change or delete yours later.
Does the game save my progress?
Your unlocked levels, best score and sound setting are saved in your browser, so you can pick up from the furthest level you reached.
